NAXOS customer case

Naxos designs and operates digital solutions for the CENTURY 21 France real estate network.

Its primary mission is to support the 7200 real estate agents in the development and success of the 915 agencies of the CENTURY 21 France network.

Their missions are varied, from the design to the operation of digital solutions dedicated to the group's network of agencies. In concrete terms, their scope of action extends from CRM to SEO/SEA referencing, mobile application management, the corporate website and customer support. With a team on a human scale, the choice of partners is paramount, and must be made in a climate of transparent trust. Naxos needed a reliable supplier to manage its 3 million monthly visitors.

Problematic

Naxos faced a twofold challenge: firstly, it had to ensure the quality of service it needed to maintain its extensive infrastructure, and secondly, it had to guarantee high availability for this infrastructure. That's why it was essential for Naxos and its 3 million monthly visitors to be able to rely on a professional, high-performance hosting provider, and above all on a facilities management team available at all times. A team capable of answering all its questions, anticipating the slightest problem and upgrading its infrastructure as and when required.

Why choose Ikoula ?

With these two issues in mind, the time had come for Naxos to choose its service provider, and therefore the entity to which the teams were ready to entrust this critical infrastructure.

One of Naxos' first responses when they outlined their needs was to be able to combine performance and proximity. Needless to say, putting the Human behind the machine has been one of Ikoula's leitmotivs for years. So this speech reflected our vision of hosting and service quite well. Naxos' needs were complex, so the infrastructure they were offered had to be complete. And it's thanks to this that Naxos is now able to guarantee quality of service and availability for all sites and services hosted at Ikoula. In addition to the machine side, as we said earlier, the human side and proximity to Ikoula's facilities management teams also played a major role in the decision process.

Indeed, the availability, professionalism, proactivity and fluidity of exchanges with the Ikoula teams were more than important. In particular, they would like to pay tribute to the outsourcing teams, of course, and the Infrastructure team, with whom exchanges were constructive and fluid.

The suggested solutions

The infrastructure designed and built for NAXOS is based on a combination of physical and virtual servers (HyperV and Cloud Ikoula One), each with its own advantages.

On the web services side, NAXOS chose Apache and Nginx, and HaProxy for load balancing.

In terms of web services, NAXOS has chosen Apache and Nginx, and HaProxy for load balancing. Ikoula teams also support NAXOS with database services, providing a Postgres cluster and storage with a DRBD cluster. These services are complemented by other services such as containerization via LXC or Docker, implementation and maintenance of a Sophos firewall in HA mode, and DNS management via the Bind service.

In conclusion, the Ikoula teams supported NAXOS from A to Z in setting up this platform, and we're proud to have been able to respond effectively to all their problems.

To conclude, here's a quote from Florent LEGAL, CTO of NAXOS, which sums up the relationship of trust built with Ikoula during the set-up of this project.
